The resort is built on 3 metre high piers and designed in the style and alignment of the ethnic longhouses, linked by timber walkways. The Melinau River wraps around the resort like a moat. All guest rooms have rich parquet floorings with private bath and shower, mini-bar, individually controlled air-conditioning, standard amenities, hot and cold showers. The Resort has its own water treatment plant, which supplies all guest rooms with clean and safe water. Every room enjoys a spacious verandah, which offers guests a stunning view of either the rich surrounding jungle or the Melinau River.

Children are well catered for in the resort with special activities, including a monkey tour through the local forest. From the resort, the caves are reached by longboat (Wind and Clearwater Caves) or timber boardwalk (Lang Cave and Deer Cave).

One of the best ways to appreciate Gunung Mulu National Park’s diversity is by experiencing the Canopy Walk. It is said to be the longest tree-to-tree skywalk in the world at 480 m. It links 15 trees together via pillared platforms, and is suspended approximately 30 m above the forest floor. The canopy walk provides a breathtaking view of the world’s oldest rainforests and its inhabitants, and is easily accessible from the Mulu Marriott Resort & Spa.
