Kuala LumpurBreakfast at the hotel.

Depart for a full day tour of Kuala Lumpur. Wrested from the jungle, the capital of Malaysia was for many years a camp of bamboo huts, but it is now a modern metropolis of 4 million people!

Petronas Twin Towers and KLCC

PETRONAS TWIN TOWERS AT KLCC

Drive through some of the interesting parts of the city to the Skybridge Petronas Towers. Walk the world’s highest double-decked bridge that symbolises a gateway to the future and provides a stunning vantage point of Kuala Lumpur. You will also get to discover what makes the Twin Towers special through cutting-edge displays and vibrant exhibits. At 360 metres above the ground, on the observation deck, you’ll be able to see a spire up close and enjoy breath taking views of Kuala Lumpur. In a small corner of downtown Kuala Lumpur, a slice of village life still exists among the growing metropolis that is Malaysia’s capital. Kampung Baru, or “new village”, has been populated since the 1880s and today has become an amalgamation of seven villages over an area of around 100-hectares downtown. Officially listed as a Malay Agricultural Settlement by the British in 1900, Kampung Baru was first established as a pastoral community to attract rural Malays into Kuala Lumpur. It is a rare survivor of the almighty wrecking ball, swung by those in charge of urban redevelopment. Many of the homes had frangipani trees, coconut palms and banana trees on their lots while skyscrapers in the background overlook the timber houses built on stilts.

Then on to lunch at Atmosphere@360 the revolving restaurant at KL Tower. On a clear day, you’ll get to see a fantastic bird’s eye view of the beautiful Kuala Lumpur skyline.

Continue driving through the Chinatown in Petaling Street. It is an unquestionably the heart and soul of Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur. Pedestrians clog the walkway while browsing through a myriad of goods offered from hawker stalls on both sides of the street. Red lanterns and vibrant signs compete for space overhead while noodle carts and eateries fill the air with tempting smells. Then drive through the Little India in Brickfields. What used to be a simple residential neighbourhood just outside of Kuala Lumpur has now been transformed into a colourful community with streets lined with quaint shops and restaurants.

Then it is time to drive around and visit the major landmark of the city which includes Jamek Mosque (outside), Independence Square as well as the Moorish-style Sultan Abdul Samad Buidling and the Old Railway Station Building before returning to the hotel.
