Breakfast at hotel then by boat observing proboscis monkeys , wild crocodiles along Mentoko river and other animals along the river, then afternoon back to Samarnda stop will be done at Equatorial monument, and stop at pampang village for dayang kenyah long ears. And check in hotel late afternoon. Lunch and dinner provided.
SAMARINDA – SANGATTA
On arrival at AM Pranoto Airport in Samarinda you will be met and transferred to Sangatta by road. Samarinda is the capital of the Indonesian province of East Kalimantan. The journey will take about 3 1/2 hours. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel- Hotel Gran Victory. (4 stars). [includes Dinner]
TREKKING IN KUTAI NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast at your hotel before leaving for the Sangatta River at about 06:30 hrs. You will travel to Kutai National Park by small boat – about a 30 minute trip to the camp site. Kutai National Park comprises about 200 000 hectares, and is a safe haven for rare and protected flora and fauna such as the orang-utan, proboscis monkeys (known as bekantan in the Indonesian language), the grizzled sureli (Grizzled Leaf Monkey), and some forest orchids. It is also home to the largest forest of Borneon Ironwood in the whole of Indonesia.It is thought the park could be home to between 1000 and 2000 wild orang-utans.
On arrival, begin to explore the National Park looking for wild animals, trekking to observe the nature, wild piqs, birds, wild orang-utan, and explore the flora and fauna. A lunch box will be provided.
In the late afternoon you will return to the Hotel. On the way, you may be able to observe proboscis monkeys along the river banks.

In the afternoon, return to Samarinda. A stop will be made along the way at the Tugu Equatorial Monument. You will also make a stop at Pampang Cultural Village which is where you will find the “long eared” Dayak Kenyah tribe.On arrival in Samarinda in the late afternoon, check in to the Swiss-Belhotel (4 Stars).
