TEMBURONG NATIONAL PARK DAY TOUR
This is a mildly adventurous immersion into Borneo’s best-preserved wilderness rainforest. Ulu Temburong National Park is protected for the benefit of it’s unique wildlife, scientific research and low impact visitors.
There are no roads, access is by boat and walkways.
The trip departs Bandar from the Temburong Water Taxi Jetty at 08.00 hrs, arriving at Bangar Lodge at approximately 08.00 hrs; and arrives back at the jetty at around 16.00 hrs
This day tour will introduce you to this amazing environment with walks, fun river travel, local foods, and spectacular views. Travel by boat from Bandar via a network of waterways. Look for wildlife as you pass mangrove islands on route to Bangar, Temburong.
See Bangar town and stop for morning tea, with local cakes. Your equipment will be issued at this time. Travel upstream in longboats to the National Park, watching for wildlife enroute.
The journey continues by longboat, upstream through the Temburong River rapids. Notice the changing vegetation, tree size, and the narrowing river as you move deeper into the jungle. Watch for Hornbills, butterflies, Proboscis Monkeys, Macaques and other wildlife. See Durian and other local fruiting trees.
